Rules & Regulations


Emails, calls, and texts will be returned during business hours and within one business day. Emails, calls, and texts will not be returned on weekends unless there is an emergency.


If there is an emergency, and you need to speak with Andrea Hoppe immediately, please call at 978-364-0123 and she will get back to you as soon as possible.  However, Andrea cannot provide crisis, urgent, or emergency services.  In the event of a true psychiatric or medical emergency, please dial 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact crisis intervention services.


Texting is only used for the following:

  1. Asking for a refill

  2. Letting Andrea know you will be late to an appointment

All other correspondences should be through email or phone. 


Medications can only be refilled during normal business hours.  Refill requests on weekends will be filled the following Monday or non-holiday business day.

Evaluations are required to change medication dosages or change medications.  Evaluations are required in order to obtain a refill.  In emergency cases, prescriptions will be provided until your next appointment.

If 6 months or more have passed without an evaluation, you will be marked inactive.  If inactive, you will no longer be considered a patient, and no refills will be dispensed.

Compliance with medications

It is required that you take your medications as prescribed. Mistakes happen! However, purposeful non-compliance will result in termination from further care and no refills will be dispensed.

Appointments and Cancellation Policy

Appointment times are as scheduled.  Please show up on time.  If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late to a 30 minute appointment or more than 30 minutes late to an hour appointment, the missed appointment fee of $75 will apply.  You will not be seen for this appointment.  There is no charge for accidents or emergencies.

If more than 3 appointments are missed (not counting emergencies), Andrea will no longer be able to accept you as a patient and cannot provide further refills on medications.

If you need to cancel, please give 24 hours’ notice to avoid the missed appointment fee of $75.

Fees and rates

All copayments or payments are due at time of service.  Cash, check, or credit card are all accepted.

Phone appointments are not covered by insurance and require an out of pocket cost. 

New Patients

Please fill out the required intake form.  Based on the form, I will determine if we may be a good match for care.  Please note that I do not specialize in every diagnosis.  Please also note if information is revealed during sessions that indicates that I may not be a good fit, I will provide a referral or suggestions for care with someone who carries that specialization.  Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee placement at another facility.  Please be aware that an intake appointment does not guarantee further care.


You must also sign and date the consent form as well as indicate that you have read these policies and rules.
